ThunderMark recognises the significance of industry standards and co-operation, the value in networking and the importance of accreditation. We are therefore proud to be affiliated with these respected organisations:
Established in 1987, the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SACCI) sets out to maintain and improve the efficiency and professional standards of the conference and events industry in southern Africa. This region is becoming increasingly important as an international MICE destination and the organisation assists members in the organising and provision of services for the Africa MICE market. Members are drawn from a variety of industries including conferencing facilities and venues, incentive travel organisers, travel and accommodation service providers and so on.
SITE is a global network of meetings and event professionals that are motivated to deliver best business results. The goal of the site is to raise awareness around the effectiveness of incentive travel and motivational experiences and to drive growth in this sector of the MICE market. This network offers insights, solutions and global connections that will maximise these motivational experiences. They facilitate research, undertake trend analysis and offer support for group incentive travel organisers.
In 1997, a number of well established technical production services companies and individuals came together to form an association to serve the needs of both the live entertainment industry and its clients. Basing itself on the PSA (Production Services Association) in the UK, the Technical Production Services Association (TPSA) was born. Launched officially in February 1998, it is an association incorporated not for gain under section 21 of the Companies Act 61 of 1973.
